GEN Z-arsuela’s Iti naulimek a Maris Nalabbaga wins 3rd Place and Best Actor Award
Showcasing remarkable skills and talents, the University of Northern Philippines BA Communication students secure third place with their entry “Iti Naulimek a Maris Nalabbaga” during the Gen Z-arsuela competition as part of the Ilocos Sur Festival 2025, yesterday at the Quirino Stadium.
The play, under Ms. Romelyn Palacielo of Carpe Diem Lights Production was among the eight competing team from various schools and municipalities of the province.
Meanwhile, with his exceptional acting skills, Franz Danielle Fabie also from the said program won the Best Actor award for his outstanding portrayal of the character “Red”.
Further, the talented cast include Franz Danielle Fabie (Red), Ejen Glenn Torda (Pablo), Decy Pagdilao (Pinky), Krisha Ben Louisse Mequizo (Heangel), Jazz Jefferson Argallon (Celso), Eduard Thody Maru (Ando), and John Michael Tabisula (Jade). Also, the production team include: Bryan Castillo (Scriptwriter), Arnel Solomon and Aaron Gerry Apalis (Technical Directors), Cyrelle Rosario (Light Director), Jay-ar Pula (Production Assistant) , and Jose Edwin Sajonia Jr., (Narrator).
Embodying the spirit of Ilocano creativity, the team ended the play with a powerful message of courage.
