UNP-CCJE launches internship program, features Pasa-Masid

The University of Northern Philippines College of Criminal Justice Education (UNP-CCJE) officially launched its 2024-2025 internship program for fourth year students with the theme, “From Learning to Action: Transitioning Immersion”  & Ceremonial Signing of Memorandum of Agreement on January 21, at the University Oval.

The program featured the Pasa-Masid or Pass in Review, symbolizing discipline among the participating 218 Criminology students, and was attended by Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, Dr. Sina Bestre, CCJE Dean, Myline Aleson, Assistant Dean, CCJE Faculty, and officials of partner agencies, the Philippines National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.  

In his message, Dr. Cadorna inspired students to uphold passion, integrity, and dedication. The provincial Director of Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office PCol Darnell Dulnuan, represented by PLtCol Honesto Lazo, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, encouraged the students to embrace justice, fairness, and the journey of growth. “Life is not about the final destination but about the opportunity and journey as we grow”, he said.

A ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement also took place formalizing partnerships with various agencies, making way for real world internships.

The ceremony marks the beginning of a journey for CCJE students as they step into their roles as future criminologists, ready to serve with integrity and professionalism.
