PASWI visits CSW
On March 10, 2025, the Philippine Association of Social Workers Inc. (PASWI) visited the College of Social Work (CSW) of the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, to initiate the revival of the PASWI Ilocos Sur chapter. This visit also set the stage for a national convention scheduled for October 2025, which will be held in partnership with UNP-CSW.
Key attendees from PASWI included Mr. Roy Luntayao, former PASWI President and IFSW Commissioner, Lydia Del Rosario, PASWI Ex-Officio member, Jefran Olingay, PASWI National Secretary, and Juliet Yara Don Bragante, PASWI event coordinator.
They met with Dr. Rolando Navarro, Vice President for Academic Affairs, along with Prof. Melody Gacita , CSW Dean and the members of the PASWI Ilocos Sur Ad Hoc Committee, namey, Mr. Ariel Tugade, Ms. Jeanne-lyn Anicoche, and Ms. Sheila De Vera.
This collaboration underscores PASWI’s commitment to strengthening local chapters and fostering partnerships to advance the social work profession in the Philippines.
