CFAD visits Sto. Tomas school
Government-owned buildings feature limited space that serves multiple purposes and functions. A work space should be functional as well as maximize to its best potential. However, it should be arranged in a way that is conducive to working in and is organized properly.
Moreover, the surroundings of the educational institution should also be considered in terms of conduciveness. The environment should have a good air quality and should create temperatures that are suitable for learning.
The College of Fine Arts and Design, together with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension, again extended services to Sto. Tomas Elementary School in making the school conducive for learning.
The activity assessed the interior spaces of the school buildings and consulted the benefactors about what is needed in the classroom. It also aimed to propose solutions that address their needs for future extension activities.
The CFAD faculty also planted trees that may benefit the school in the future by enhancing the temperature of the environment and providing shade and fresher air for the community. They also installed a net cover of the learning center of the school.
The activity is in support of Project Singising of the University.
