Faculty of an Iloilo university benchmark on BEEd’s best practices
Eleven faculty members of the College of Education of the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) visited the University of Northern Philippines on March 26 to benchmark on the Bachelor of Elementary Education program of the UNP College of Teacher Education.
The aim of the activity, accordingly, is aligned with ISAT U’s “strong commitment to further enhance” their BEEd program with the end goal of attaining Center of Excellence status.
In their letter to the University, they also stated that the endeavor will provide them with insights and practices which they can implement to improve their status, especially in terms of teaching approaches, instructional materials, and researches.
The ISTU faculty are Dr. Joel A. Ciriaco, Dr. Carmen L. Cruzata, Dr. Alex B. Facinabao, Dr. Ana Maria P. Denosta, Dr. Catherine L. Sumalucub, Dr. Renelda P. Nacianceno, Dr. Iryn B. de los Santos, Dr. Bernie F. Piad, Ms. Hilda D. Darroca, Dr. Michael G. Garlan, Dr. JD Precious A. Lagarto, and Mr. Jan Rex P. Osano.
Dean Ma. Teresa Susan L. Manzano shared the best practices of the College of Teacher Education.
The activity was facilitated by the Public Information Office and the Quality Assurance Office with Dr. Irene Abigail S. Guerrero and Dr. Eva Marie C. Avila, respectively, at the helm.
