Newly elected SC officers take oath

The newly elected University of Northern Philippines – Student Council (UNP-SC), for the Academic Year 2024–2025, took their oath of office at the Office of the President on July 18, 2024. It was an occasion that embarked a new era of student leadership in the university.

As they took the oath of office, the newly elected leaders vowed to protect the university’s core principles and provide the student body with honest and committed service.

The newly elected officers are Noriel Jay Paino, SC President, V-Jay Remolacio, Vice President, Mark Denver Azur, Secretary General, Rachel Sheimha Rabino, Secretary on Finance, Jan Nazarene De la Cruz, Secretary on Audit, and Franz Danielle Fabie, Secretary on Communications.

Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, UNP President, administered the ceremony and congratulated the newly elected student officers and urged them to represent and speak up for the interests and concerns of other students.

The UNP-SC is a vital part of the university’s governance structure, serving as a bridge between the administration and the students. The newly elected officers will ensure that the students’ interests are represented and that their voices are heard.

The University of Northern Philippines community looks forward to an academic year full of cooperation and worthwhile projects that will enhance the student experience as the new student council takes office.
