UNP COE participates in 16th Interactive Youth Forum

To further reinforce the importance of leadership in community development, the University of Northern Philippines College of Engineering (UNP-COE) represented by the Engineering Department Students’ Association (EDSA), participated in the 16th Interactive Youth Forum (IYF) hosted by the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services, Inc. (PAPSAS) at Venus Parkview Hotel, Baguio City on February 5 to 7.

Particularly, EDSA Adviser Engr. Charlaign Kate Gumasing and Governor Mike Joshua Costales, were the ones who represented the organization on the said event.

With the theme “#Volunteerism: Passion, Compassion, and Action,” the forum gathered student leaders, and student affairs services directors nationwide to promote volunteerism as a tool for social change. Discussions centered on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including poverty reduction, quality education, climate action, and gender equality.

With fresh insights, the College of Engineering’s EDSA is set to launch volunteer-driven initiatives that align with the SDGs, reinforcing engineering’s role in nation-building.
