UNP inks MOA with Balaleng elem school
The Department of Languages and Humanities (DLH) of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) initiated the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement under the Adopt-a-School program between the University and Balaleng Elementary School on March 15, 2024.
The University was represented by the Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, Dr. Remigio L. Obrero, the Assistant Dean of CAS, and Prof. Allen Magdaleno A. De Vera, Head of DLH, while the recipient school was represented by Mrs. Emelita R. Arizabal, School Principal of Balaleng Elementary School. A short program was also conducted at Balaleng Elementary School before the formal signing of the MOA.
The event was witnessed by several faculty of the Department of Languages and Humanities and teachers of Balaleng Elementary School. The President, in his message, said UNP’s extension services “go beyond” as it empowers its partner schools in the delivery of excellence and quality education.
The activity is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals 4 (promoting quality education, 5 (opening avenues for gender equality), 11 (advocating for sustainable cities and communities), and 17 (establishing partnerships for the goals).
