MSO, CN conduct seminar on basic first aid
The University Medical Services Office, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, spearheaded a basic first aid seminar titled “Paunang Lunas para Buhay ay Ligtas” to the College of Technology (CTech) students. It was held at Technology Complex on May 22.
The seminar aimed to educate CTech students about the proper procedures for giving first aid to injured persons. BS Nursing students trained them on first aid skills essential in the workplace, including wound treatment, addressing minor injuries, and doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
University nurse Dr. Mia Petate lectured on the importance of giving first aid to injured persons. She emphasized 3Ps of first aid, namely: preserving life, preventing deterioration, and promoting recovery.
Dr. Julius Moises Albalos, dean of the College of Technology, expressed his gratitude to MSO and CN for conducting the seminar.
