CN strategic planning stresses SWOT analysis for educational excellence

A Strategic Planning alongside SWOT Analysis of the College of Nursing, headed by Dr. Francis Don L. Nero, was conducted at the Tadena Hall on March 26, 2024.

Attended by the College of Nursing faculty, the program also featured the presentation on the recent evaluation result of the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The evaluation result served as unput for the SWOT analysis by the coordinators on different areas.

The program underscored that strategic planning, combined with SWOT analysis, is critical for educational institutions and educators seeking excellence. Strategic planning in education entails creating goals and allocating resources to ensure student success.

Meanwhile, SWOT analysis looks at internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats. Educators recognize their assets, such as educational knowledge and cooperation abilities. Weaknesses may include a lack of technological access or an outdated curriculum.

New instructional approaches and technological breakthroughs create opportunities. Budgetary restrictions and regulatory changes must be addressed. These were addressed in the SWOT analysis done.
