UNP faculty members join the CommTECH Nusantara 2024 Virtual Conference


Twenty faculty members of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) participated in the “CommTECH Nusantara 2024–Virtual Exploration of Indonesia: Ramadhan Edition” program from March 25 to April 5, 2024. The event, held via Zoom, showcased Indonesia’s rich culture, natural beauty, and vibrant heritage.

Hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) of Indonesia, the conference aimed to showcase the country’s diverse cultural traditions and natural wonders, including the unique celebration of Ramadan. Through engaging presentations and discussions, participants embarked on a virtual journey to explore the country’s captivating landscapes and time-honored customs.

Among the UNP attendees, Caesar Ziggy Q. Perlas was awarded “Best Participant” during the event’s closing ceremonies for his active participation and contributions. Also, Kevin Caesar Martinez and Charlaign Kate Gumasing were honored for their posters showcasing Indonesia’s cultural heritage and natural wonders.

The CommTECH Nusantara 2024 conference transcended national borders, attracting participants from diverse corners of the globe. This global convergence not only enriched the academic discourse but also fostered meaningful intercultural dialogue and understanding.

CommTECH Nusantara 2024 highlighted the value of promoting cultural exchange, scholarly collaboration, and technological innovation across borders.
