UNP signs MOA with Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives
The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) initiated the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the University of Northern Philippines and the Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives (NSCC) on January 19, 2024.
The University was represented by Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, the University President, and Dr. Mariano Paterno F. Avila, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs.
The NSCC was represented by Dr. Divina C. Quemi. The formal signing of the MOA was conducted at the NSCC Plaza, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur and was witnessed by several personnel of the OSAS and staff of NSCC.
The MOA states that UNP shall “initiate the implementation of livelihood projects through its micro-enterprise program for student entrepreneurs.”
Also, NSCC will, among others, provide employment opportunities to potential graduates, scholarship grants to deserving students, and technical assistance in the implementation of the Micro-Enterprise Development Training Program.
The activity is aligned with the University’s goal of supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
