UNP honors new CPAs
Sixteen Certified Public Accountants were recognized by the UNP College of Business Administration and Accountancy at the Guestel Function Hall on April 1. The program was themed “Celebrating Triumph, Empowering October 2023 CPALE Achievers: A Testimonial Journey.”
In October 2023, the newly licensed accountants braved the Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountant (LECPA). As a result, the University achieved a performance passing rate of 61.54%, surpassing the national passing rate (31.37%).
Following a motorcade through Metro Vigan and surrounding towns, the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants–UNP Chapter, faculty, board passers, and the University executive officials led by the President, Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, participated in a Eucharistic liturgy at the UNP Ecumenical Center.
The testimonial luncheon program was held at the Guestel Function Hall in the afternoon, during which the board passers were recognized for their contributions to the University’s pride and given tokens and leis. In addition, the JPIANs were given the opportunity to converse with them.
The recognition motivated the CPA-aspirants to succeed in having the three letters added to their names while recognizing the conscientious work and devotion of the LECPA passers.
