CTech students excel in mechatronics, robotics skills tilt
The UNP College of Technology showcased its competency at the Mechatronics and Robotics Skills Competition, organized by the Mechatronics Robotics Society of the Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The event was held on June 19, 2024, at the DOST MIRDC building in Taguig City. This competition was one of the 7th Metal and Engineering Week events, and different universities participated nationwide.
The college participants were students in the Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics and Automation Technology and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, majoring in Electronics Technology program.
The coaches for the Mechatronics participants were Dr. Julius Moises Albalos (College Dean) and Dr. Allan Guillermo, and the coaches for the robotics participants were Engr. John Jericho Arquines and Mr. Raj Alwyne Fonseca. The Robotics team placed fourth in the competition.
The students who participated were Leone Benedict Arce, Ahron Jezreel Battad, John Mark Bongalos, Ross Daniel Cabrera, Rafael Corpuz, James Russel Crisolo, John Clifford Deculing, Tom Manalang, Lawrence Quirit, Dennis Presto, Alejandro Tactay, and Sean Christian Ortega.
